Hello!!!

My name is Karan. I am a vegetarian and I love food. I thoroughly enjoy trying new restaurants and different cuisines. I have been passionately doing this through much of my adult life without even thinking of blogging or vlogging about my food escapades. However, recently (its Nov 2024 as I wrote this), after various prods (which were more like kicks), I finally decided to start writing about my experiences.

    Presently I am living in Hyderabad, however, much of my taste buds carry the lineage of royalty of the city of Jodhpur (my native place) and the cosmopolitan nature of food acceptance of Kolkata (my place of birth). I need to specify this mainly because I have a very low level of acceptance for Mirchi (which I will refer as Spicy), yet at the same time I need good amount of Masala in my food such that the Food makes sense!

    Viewpoint: I personally think that critiquing on food or a restaurant is a personal choice, and this differs from person to person and hence I thought it would be a good idea to share my thought process with everyone such that everyone can use it as a reference point while reading my posts

    My Taste Scale

    • Mirchi Scale: 3/10 – which clearly states that I do not like spicy food.

    • Masala Scale: 7/10 – I like rich food. However, this does not mean I am looking for richness in Home style food or Satvik food.
